Vision, Mission and Core Values

The Tanzania Forest Fund is guided and focuses to attain the following Vision, Mission and Core values. The following are the narration of them.

Vision
To be a long term and sustainable source of funding for sustainable management of forest resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

Mission
To mobilize funds for sustainable financing the management of forest resources for the present and future generations.

Core Values of the Fund
Tanzania Forest Fund is administered under core values of: Transparency; Accountability; Sustainability; Efficiency and Effectiveness; Team spirit; Equity, and Credibility. The elaboration of each core value follows here under:
(a) Transparency: Funds’ staff will exercise openness, accuracy and promptness in sharing information with all stakeholders;
(b) Accountability: All Funds’ staff should be accountable for their actions, exercise diligence to all duties assigned and ensure optimum use of resources;
(c) Sustainability: In the course of using resources, staff will ensure the long-term maintenance of wellbeing and responsible use of forestry resources;
(d) Efficiency and Effectiveness: Fund’s staff should ensure the timely implementation of the plans and programmes so as to achieve the desired objectives stipulated in this SP within a minimum possible time;
(e) Team Spirit: Fund’s employees should demonstrate highest level of commitment, by working together, collaborating and coordinating in discharging their duties
(f) Credibility: In service delivery and interacting with stakeholders, Funds’ staff will demonstrate high level of respect, impartiality, courtesy, timeliness, in the course of discharging their duties based on the stipulated guidelines, not seek or accept gifts favours or inducement, financial or otherwise.
(g) Equity: All Funds’ resources available will be availed to the needy based on the stipulated terms and conditions.
